SPIDERS ARE NASTY! I know all of the, 'They eat the bad bugs!' arguments. Peh! Also, harmless? Hardly! There are things like brown recluses in the area and I know the banana spiders are non-bitey but if I ever got one on me... Damn, sometimes I have these weird little fits because of my long hair: I'm always terrified something's going to get tangled in it and if it just brushes my arm in an unexpected way, I'm convinced it's a nasty spider crawling it's disgusting hairy legs all over me! *Shudders* Plus, my brother got to catch me in mid-faint when there was this giant thing just sitting by the kitchen. He killed it but the blood had just freaking rushed from my head and there was no stopping it!
For a while, everything I wrote in some way included the Titanic and/or shipwrecks, all through my teens and early twenties. I'm still a bit like that, hence Laila, though I purposely made her place of safety a shipwreck (the portal, her hiding place) just to sort of challenge myself even as I went, UUURRRGGGHH!' *Shudder!* I seem to go through periods where it's harder for me; I watched Ghosts of the Abyss and was even in my right mind enough to comment that they're oohing and ahhing about stuff that just all looks like silt-colored mung, but just the other day I couldn't watch a NatGeo special about Titanic.
