Merry Midwinter, y'all!

This is perhaps a little known fact, but I am actually Wiccan. Well, Wiccan/Episcopalian because that was how I was raised, the latter part, and it was loving and beautiful and I've found it very difficult to give up entirely. I'm not posting to go into my religious beliefs but to say Merry Winter Solstice, have a cool Yule, my friends! And this song also seems appropriate for all of my friends on the eastern coast just north of here! Hugs!

A local coven has a rather raucous part but it's a bit too... lively for my tastes, so I just stayed at home, appreciated the darkness (I'm naturally a night person, so the shortest day of the year is always a bonus) and tried to catch up on Merlin (I watched The Witchfinder and Sins of the Father yesterday, hooray! Began Lady of the Lake but was interrupted, so that has to be today!)
