Oh, come on!

So, I broke my toe last night. On the same box I pass maybe ten times a day on the way to the bathroom; the corner just slammed into the space between my little toe and my the one next to it. It was sticking out at a really... unattractive angle. After the intial panic and discussions about going to the hospital, we just started... laughing. In a bit of an hysterical way, truth be told, but still. I doubt anyone on my flist has seen The IT Crowd episode two of series one, Calamity Jen, but it reminded both of us of Jen's mangled feet. and then came the jokes about it secretly being a compass and how it was trying to find North.

Er, long story short, it's dark purple and black with bruises today but it doesn't hurt as much as we were worried; my sister even thinks it might just be sprained. Which I seriously hope. Thank goodness I don't have my sister's luck, who dropped a TV on her already broken toe back when she was in college! Sighs.

Peace, Ghani

Oh no! D: D: D:

I broke my finger a few years ago, it's hot damn mess. I hope your toe is sprained, not broken.

It's still at a fairly remarkable angle and such a lovely color, heh, but it doesn't hurt as much as it could so that's definitely a plus!

GYAH! Oh no! That truly sucks. *hugs* I hope it really is just sprained and not broken. Will you be going to the doctor with it soon?

Ugh, the doctor's whole... deal. So we just wrapped it up; luckily Ann has lots and lots of experience with injuries, being the delicate flower that she is.

It is a truly remarkable color at the moment, and still off on its own angle, but the rest of my foot isn't really affected, which is the best sign there is that there isn't extensive damage.

I know you'll understand this but it just really felt like adding insult to injury, you know? Because things haven't been going great and then... this. Ugh, this isn't the best birthday month I've ever had.

Ouch! D: As the others said, I hope it's just sprained and not broken. *hugs*

I love how your post sounds a little as if it was completely the box's fault, though. ("No, really, the thing just sort of jumped in my way and slammed into my toes. Not my fault at all...*g*)

Ahahahaha, it's totally the boxes fault! Not at all me being my usual clumsy self, it was all the box! ;-)

Thank you! Hugs back!

Ouchie. Here's hoping it is only sprained; that's bad enough. Your poor toe. It always sucks when you hurt something on your foot, because you kind of need to, you know, WALK.

I've sprained or at least injured my right pinky toe more than once. It hurt like a bitch for a day or so, and turned various shades of black and blue and green and yellow for a week or so after.

Oh God, I know! And hobbling around the house is, well, okay because the rest of my foot doesn't really hurt but Ann goes back to work tomorrow which means I have to start walking the dogs, three two times a day! 0_0 That ought to be... interesting.

Exact toe that I sprained/possibly broke and basically exactly what's happening. I have to stop panicking over the strange angle it insists on staying at because once it heals I know it'll go back to normal; that really is the only worrisome thing.

I'm incredibly lucky because I don't get a lot of physical injuries, but on the other hand I'm not used to them so I tend to get a bit, er, hysterical over it. Ann's been calming me down lots about it though so I'm slowly coming to terms! xP

Eek! Stubbing your toe HURTS, whether you break it or not.

::hugs:: Be sure you have it looked at if you have to.

Oh trust me, I will! I'm a bit of an alarmist in general, so if I feel like anything's gone wrong, I'll be at my doctor's so fast, reception will only feel the breeze as I pass! xD

Hugs!

Best of luck with your toe. Which one is it? Because often the only thing they do to it is give you a pain reliever and wrap your foot and send you home anyway.

It's my right pinkie toe, which was how it was able to kind of do an almost complete 90 degree angle! I figured as much, so we just bought some first aid supplies and wrapped it up ourselves. My sister--unfortunately--has quite a bit of experience with this sort of thing (she really did drop a TV on her already broken toe) so I'm confident it's getting the best treatment it can be!

D: I say! And kind of ew and I really hope it gets better!
