Oh, come on!

So, I broke my toe last night. On the same box I pass maybe ten times a day on the way to the bathroom; the corner just slammed into the space between my little toe and my the one next to it. It was sticking out at a really... unattractive angle. After the intial panic and discussions about going to the hospital, we just started... laughing. In a bit of an hysterical way, truth be told, but still. I doubt anyone on my flist has seen The IT Crowd episode two of series one, Calamity Jen, but it reminded both of us of Jen's mangled feet. and then came the jokes about it secretly being a compass and how it was trying to find North.

Er, long story short, it's dark purple and black with bruises today but it doesn't hurt as much as we were worried; my sister even thinks it might just be sprained. Which I seriously hope. Thank goodness I don't have my sister's luck, who dropped a TV on her already broken toe back when she was in college! Sighs.

Peace, Ghani

Best of luck with your toe. Which one is it? Because often the only thing they do to it is give you a pain reliever and wrap your foot and send you home anyway.

It's my right pinkie toe, which was how it was able to kind of do an almost complete 90 degree angle! I figured as much, so we just bought some first aid supplies and wrapped it up ourselves. My sister--unfortunately--has quite a bit of experience with this sort of thing (she really did drop a TV on her already broken toe) so I'm confident it's getting the best treatment it can be!
