And in your honor, I have collected some of my favoritest fan vids for some of our favoritest couples! Check 'em out behind ze cut!

The first is an Indy/Marion one! The quality on them is kind of... so-so, and this was by far my favorite. The song's a good choice, even if it wasn't one of my absolute favorites, and they edited it nicely, all the emotional beats in all the right places. And it just makes me smile! Next up: Depressing! Ah, Anakin and Padme, why you gotta break my heart? These are a rather... mixed bag, too, and it was sad because a lot of them use songs that I really love but I'm all about the punchy editing with fan vids (I'm very discerning!) and this had by far the best. Plus the song will stomp lightly up and down on your heart. I started crying looking through a bunch of these yesterday, that is absolutely true! This one gets extra points for incorporating TPM footage (the only one I watched that did) and the awesome bridge of the song with Luke (though I think they could have included Leia as well!)

Now Han and Leia! (You knew it was coming to this, didn't you?!) Had never heard this song before and now I love it because it will forever remind me of this video and it's gorgeous and so romantic and sad! Will make you cry as well!

Oh my gosh, my absolute favorite! The song suits them so perfectly and the editing is exquisite! "I never meant to do those things to you" the lyrics paired with Leia kissing Luke? Perfect! On a side note, it's funny how many of these use the deleted ESB kiss. It's damn sexy, so I understand why!

This one's just light and cute and funny (saved it for last, didn't I?) Set to Billy Ocean's "Loverboy", it just made me giggle!

WHEW!! Boy, does my head hurt from hitting the ground during all those THUDS, but I've got a big, dopey smile on my face just the same! (Not to be confused with Han's "dumbass" faces in ROTJ, which I actually don't mind in the context of these videos, that's how good they are! ;-) ) Those are just wonderful, and I completely agree that the editing in "The Reason" is magnifique! Heck, even the explosion of DS1 is perfectly timed with a beat in the song.

"My Immortal" seems to have become A/P's official song...well, outside of their ACTUAL official song, "Across the Stars." ;-p The video is beautiful and, yes, heartbreaking. And yes, it gets extra points for including TPM, which tends to get overlooked...either because we're supposed to think everyone hates TPM, or because the video-makers feel that including clips from TPM in a romance video would be "icky" since A/P are just children in TPM and their romance has not yet begun.

But, damn it, the seeds for the romance are there! The interaction between them is entirely innocent, but no less powerful for that. As a bonus, La Portman's acting is actually good in TPM, before she got it into her pretty little head that she was "above" these movies.

Mehehehehe! It was my pleasure, truly! xD And, of course, they were here to enjoy at your leisure! I'm glad you enjoyed! Ha, Han's dumbass face! Yeah, they did use it quite a bit but, taken in context of the videos, it is bearable! Though it made me giggle quite a bit nonetheless!

Evanescence just seems to be the Anakin anthem makers, because I noticed quite a few "Bring Me to Life"s as well. They fit; it's a shame that a lot of the videos weren't quite up to it editing wise. Ah well, makes you appreciate the good ones all the more! I know it probably squicks people that they're kids but... it's not sexual! (and she's not older than 14, dammit!) TPM not just introduces the japor snippet but it illustrates ~~that anakin was a horny little bugger from the get-go!~~ how quickly they formed a bond. FATE, in other words! Sad, sad fate!
