Medieval Faire 2007

Don't actually have that many pictures this year, but I think it's pretty safe to say that a good time was had by all. Attended this year, as with last, with [livejournal.com profile] picklepopiscle, this time with her s.o. added to the mix (who was, rightly so, convinced that it was a total geek fest, heh!)

We, of course, sat for the second round of living chess, a tradition that must not be missed! The theme this year was King arthur again and they went a very Clive Owen King Arthur-y way, which I was actually surprised they hadn't previously, when the movie had just come out! Our Lancelot was hardly Ioan Gruffudd but you can't expect perfection every time, can you? ;-)

The day (Saturday) started out GORGEOUS, a lucky thing as Sunday was crap and it looks to be worse this weekend, slowly got dark and then a bit drizzly but that didn't dampen my spirits!

Me in costume. Looking lovely, if I do say so myself!

A new act this year: Barely Balanced, an acrobatics team. The big blond guy kinda looked like an American, uber-masculine Dom Monaghan. Ready to juggle fire here-

And the juggling has begun here-

Hooray, finally, the gran finale, the much advertised "five-foot fireball"!

These guys were excellent! Their turnout for the stage they were on was just astounding, larger than I think I've ever seen for any individual act, and I know why. People were sitting on the ground, crowded in the back, all just to get a look at what they were doing! Check out their official website when ya got the time, cos, really, they were awesome!
