Sighs

Gender swap does not qualify as straight het. Well, okay, technically it does, but if I join a het fanfic community and it's filled with gender swap stuff... Just, no. Male characters with the same characterization just with girl parts? I just... don't get the fandom mind sometimes.

Peace, Ghani

LOL, I know. If I didn't hate the word "heteronormative", that's what I'd call that.

Also, I only find gender swap intriguing if it involves a HET couple where one or both characters switch gender. But that's just me.

Well, 'cause that'd actually require the author to think about the situation emotional and story-wise instead of just, you know, swapping genitalia. Though I do also see people using gender swap to propagate "sneaky slash", to quote a friend, heh. And that makes me so weary as well.

Really? Does het even happen any more? It's distressing.

They like to fool me into believing that there are even special communities out there just for that sad minority of fans that like them some het. But then they slap me with a dead halibut called 'gender swap.' Sighs.
