It contantly amazes me--although it shouldn't anymore--how they treat her, like she's a retard (and I'm intentionally using the offensive term in this instance). They kind of just stare like they don't understand a thing she's saying or doing and speak slowly when they do talk and, well, end up looking like the world's biggest retards themselves.
The world is full of morons, and I guess it's particularly frightening because there's a feeling that things are opening up so much more and in some regard they are, but there is still so much ignorance a supposedly open person can harbor about common "disabilities."
