So, my paid account expired again, sighs. I've been renewing it two months at a time for a while, whenever I could get the cash together, and my 100 userpics are expiring in a month. I don't usually ask, but my birthday is coming up and if anyone is generous enough (and has the cash because, trust me, I know you are all as strapped for it as I am!) to float me a gift of either one, I would be extremely grateful! I'm so spoiled, I just cannot function without my paid account! I also hate that it doesn't let you choose which userpics to have active! Thank you for the paid account, bb! *Tackle-hugs!*

In other news, my poor little puppy Pebbles has been acting nuts these past couple of days; we kept saying that the hoochie coochie bugs crawled into her brain because she was just that insane. Today my brother found her sitting on the couch with a rotted out tooth in front of her and I feel awful if she was in pain this entire time! I'd been giving her doggie aspirin thinking it might be her hip inflammation acting up with the weather, but her teeth always looked so good, I'd never considered it! You can believe she's gonna get lots of loving today!

Lastly, a very belated send-off to my friends heading off to Key west for Hornblower 2009! Er, extremely late because I think the convention started yesterday (they usually do begin on Thursdays, and I know I always like to get there early to take in the local color, and there's lots of it in Key west!) So, if any of you are checking your flist from Key west, I hope you have a smashing time and I wish I could be there with y'all! I miss you guys something fierce and it's been too long! Hugs!

My username is: ghanistarkiller, recently mistaken for "giantstarkkiller," heh. Ghanima Starkiller is a fusion of two of my early fandoms, Dune and Star Wars and was one of my earliest RPG characters. Since almost every permutation of "Evenstar" (my A&E and Horatians name) had already been taken over here, I was reaching and grabbed at this one. Despite the name, I do not advocate the murder of celebrities (the most common mistake people make with it. Seriously.)

My journal name is: "Weapons of Class Destruction." An episode of Veronica Mars, the pun meaning, like, a school class, but because of VM's usual agenda, I read it as in social class. And I thought that'd make the most awesome punk album title ever, but since there aren't any real punk bands around anymore, it's my journal title.

My title is: Ooh, I haven't changed it in ages! I think it's still Evil Jean-eeyus. I've heard every pun my name can spawn, and I just thought it'd be cute to use this one.

My friends page is called: "Board of Shaman," to go with my Boosh theme. It was actually difficult to think of a body of friends and, really, all the Shaman Council does is chastise Naboo and occasionally try to execute him for fucking up but it's the only thing that fit at all. I realized the other night that mine really is one of those journals where you look at the text and go, "Well, that sort of sounds like it might be the user info..." LOL!

What's the inspiration behind your username?

The very simplest explanation is that it's a combination of two of my very first fandoms, which also have quite a bit to do with each other: Ghani is short for Ghanima, a character from the Dune series, and Starkiller, an arcane reference to the original name George Lucas had picked before deciding it sounded too violent and coming up with Skywalker. (I do not, in fact, want to kill any celebrities!)

What made me choose it is a different story altogether! To be honest, I'm not entirely sure. I role-played as the character (Luke and Leia's distant, distant relative from the future, writing the gospel of the Jedi, The Journal of the Whills, 200 years after the original trilogy took place. Read about it here!) on MySpace before joining LJ. Seeing as every permutation of Evenstar, my most commonly used username, was basically taken, I kind of reverted to my Ghani personality.

Okay, I never do this, I never ask for anything of my flist that costs money, but the simple fact is this: I need my 100 user pics back! Ack! I'm addicted to icons and not being able to upload any new ones or use any of my old ones, I am begging of any one on my flist: All I want for Chrristmas is not, in fact, my two front teeth, but more user pics. I could use the cheer.

Experimenting with Expressive just 'cos, well, I like to mess around with my journal. Squee for the Spidey banner I'm using though I'm not sure how long I can go without getting to admire a Nic/Ghost Rider piccie everyday. And, yes, I still wanna fuck Nicolas Cage ;-P I searched around and, much to my delight, was actually able to replace the header image with my own, but that's about the extent of my knowledge, so I'm relying on the different themes for the rest of the stuff, and I can't quite find a theme that goes really well with it. I'll probably go back to my Gwen/Peter themed header before Spider-Man 3 comes out, but it was fun playing around.

And, hooray, I might have finally found a decent Ghost Rider bootleg that I can actually play as well! Whee!

And, yay, new Doctor Who starts in, oh, about five minutes! Of course, I'll have to wait to see it, but only about an hour and a half or so, ahem... ;-) I must admit, I'm not entirely convinced of Martha just yet. We'll see. She looks like Rose 1.5 to me; I swear, if she's making goo-goo eyes at the Doctor as well, I'm throwing in the towel. Oh, I'm still gonna watch it, but I'm going to stop hoping for anything more than it is. I guess I already have, but the optimism remains. Silly, silly Ghani!

It seems like the new year came and my tits somehow knew I was turning 30 in October and just, bloop, his the floor. Seriously, I mean major belly-button touching without a bra now. Sigh. Well, it was fun while it lasted, those halcyon days of my youth.

Ah, I finally got that revamp of my LJ I've been so desperately wanting, thank to roguedemonhunte's enormous talents. Still not sure about the custom colors I picked to go along with the new header image, though my sister complimented them specifically. I'm enjoying the Smooth Sailing layout in general; it's a nice change but it's also a convenient set-up with the tages right on the side of my page there.

So, three more days until Ghost Rider, wheeee! And, as you can tell by my new layout, pretty fuckin' excited about it! Everything bodes well for it (yes, even that it's the same writer/director as Daredevil! The director's cut of that movie is frickin' sweet and should be given more of a chance!) Nic Cage obsession is in full force lately--because of the movie and it's only gonna pur napalm on the raging fire in my pants on Friday.

Random thought of the day: Damn, Patricia Arquette is one lucky woman! I mean, both Nic Cage and Thomas Jane? I know the first relationship ended kind of iffily, but still! Most women don't get a crack at one fantastic lookin' and interesting guy in their lifetimes!

'Allo all of you Horatians on my flist! I've been cruising around some stamping communities as of late and the thought came to me last night: Why don't I make one for all my good Hornblower buddies (and, of course, other Hornblower fans!)? If you don't know what stamping is, you can visit some of the communities I belong to like x_movie_stamp whedon_rating lotr_stamping or lost_stamping to get the general idea. It's just a fun, silly thing basically, and a really fun way to get to know other fans.

If I go ahead with it, I'd need a graphically-abled pal to do a lay-out and I'd take volunteers to make the stamps as well. Just like to see if anyone's interested. Have a fab day! :-)

Thanks to the enormous talents of belegwathien, I have a new header. So, I decided to go for an entirely new layout, just to -at the very least- give the ol' Pirate's Daughter one a bit of a rest. Quite pelased with it! Mmm, Gwen Stacy and Peter Parker... Is it 2007 yet?!
