Halloween spooks

Halloween was kind of a dud. The whole neighborhood looked as if they were battening down for a hurricane: doors locked, lights turned off. Hardly conducive for a pleasant trick or treating atmosphere. And the kids must have felt it because, unlike last year, we just didn't get that many. (I'm just not the party type, you see; I prefer the handing out candy and making kids jump when answering the door to being surrounding by a hundred slutty Dorothys and alices and nurses.) My Samhain celebration was more rockin', which is saying a lot. Mostly sat home and watched Ghost Hunters Live and ate our left over candy, which is not exactly conducive to my diet!
I snapped pics nontheless, but you knew that already, didn'tcha? ;-)

The Devil Doll will swallow your soul!

Festive decorations abound!

Even Twister got into the spirit! Erm, well, sort of...

Pebbles sure liked her costume though, as long as we kept telling her she was pretty!

The Devil Doll and her eeeevil consort the, erm, bee...

We got many compliments on our festive decorations!

Pretty shot of my hair, which my sister is obsessed with...

The Devil Doll raises the dead! Or a friendly ghost peaks out from under a bush--you decide!

Swallow your soul!

It should be said at this point that my mom collected antique dolls when I was little so there's a precedent for this kind of warping...

Pull my string...I'll stab you in the back!

Grrrrr, you displease the Devil Doll!

Uhoh, the witch will sneak up behind you and push you in the oven if you're not careful!

The fashionably trendy babydoll t-shirt and low-riding sweats kinda give off an ominous atmosphere all their own, dontcha think?

Uh oh, Arwen's sneaking into the cahndy bowl! There goes her diet, though I was still able to fit into this costume for the first time since I bought it!

"If I eat that now, I will regret it forever."

More hair porn!

Showing off my new slim(er) figure.

Arwen is not amused.

And this was on my birthday on Monday. Cake, mmm yummy!

Wearing the present sent to me by my bro. Poe was a dropout at UVA, you see, around which my bro is living. And, well, it seems fitting for one creative, intelligent and talented (and a bit macabre!) dropout to be wearing a shirt of another!
Boo, Ghani

on 2007-11-01 06:44 pm (UTC)It was the first year that my sister didn't allow me to be overly generous with the candy, which normally led to emergency candy runs to the drug store, and ironically, we didn't get half the kids! You just can never tell anymore!

Sweet Pics! You do Halloween right!
We do our best! :-D
I dressed up (as a jedi) for work but took it off when I got home, I was so tired of the costume after working in it for eight hours. :)
Ha, I can imagine! I remember when I used to come home from school, the first thing I'd do was take off my costume even though I hadn't been trick or treating yet!
