I voted! Yay! Sneaked in right after the morning crowd and before the lunch crowd so, literally, we were out of there in ten minutes, not even a line! Go us! They even remembered our unusual last name and said that they'd another this morning and we told them it must have been our brother, he had to vote before he went to work and that our whole family was turning out. Good for you, said every (relatively bored) woman working at the tables. Now...

Snurched from [livejournal.com profile] jadeblood:

1. Stop talking about politics for a moment or two.
2. Post a reasonably-sized picture in your LJ, NOT under a cut tag, of something pleasant, such as an adorable kitten, or a fluffy white cloud, or a bottle of booze. Something that has NOTHING TO DO WITH POLITICS.
3. Include these instructions, and share the love.

I voted too! 45 minutes in line at the local Methodist church. The pastor came out with a cart of drinks and snacks for everyone. Clearly he had seen the size of the crowd, and run out in the rain to the store sans umbrella to stock up on goodies because he was quite soaked. The kids in line got restive (who can blame them?), and he started to entertain them by singing "If You're Happy and You Know It Clap Your Hands" and by the end of the first verse everyone was singing along. Then everyone chatted and laughed and the time flew by. It was quite a delightful time. It was so damned wholesome it felt scarily like a Frank Capra movie. :)

Oh, and your avatar is so full of win there are no words for it.

Hehe, favorite. Avatar. Ever.

And that does sound rather frighteningly wholesome, but really very nice as well. Ugh, we were stuck in the backroom of a highway-side hotel because the church nearest us in renovating its parking lot. Whee, that was a lot of fun! XP So it was a relief to just get in and out of there as quickly as possible, especially because they put up as little signage as possible and then the staff seemed put out by being asked where to go. Go figure. People is strange.
