A lurvely day out
Mar. 29th, 2009 03:30 pmSo, my sister woke me up early today, which would usually be cause to complain except that she'd decided we needed a day out, away from everything. So we headed out to a movie (Haunting in Connecticut--there are personal reason behind the choice; as
may_child knows, it was one of the few "real life" ghost stories to actually touch and scare me so when I heard they were making a movie with Kyle Gallner, I was over the moon. So it was chosen over Watchmen, for time reasons as well as, well, it freaking starred Beaver!) and the to Mickey D's. Turned out it was just what both of us needed!
The movie was... well, of course they have to add a lot of crap, and a lot of nonsense that you think the studios would be smart enough to realize by now just pisses horror movie fans off. The finale was ludicrous. However, twice I reached over for my sister's hand, once I squeezed so hard she made an audible noise, which I think is recommendation enough. And Beaver (sorry, pointless Veronica Mars reference if you don't know the show! xP) was really very good in it. I was delighted whenever I spotted something from the Discovery special, which made it more fun. Good previews, too!
So, now I'm back home and just chillin' (literally as, after the horrendous storm we had last night that left trees strewn everywhere, the temperature didn't actually drop, so I'm sitting next to the air con at the moment!) and making the best of the rest of my sister's day off!
Peace, Ghani
