From [livejournal.com profile] fannish5: Name your five favorite geniuses - evil or otherwise - from any fandom.

- Zack Addy, Bones Ignoring the fact that they seemed to progressively want me to dislike Zack or, rather more likely, made him more into a one-dimensional joke, I still love him beyond belief, especially in the earlier episodes that showcase his and Hodgins' friendship, which is just so sweet and funny. Zack, baby, you got a raw deal, for serious! And Sweets and the supposed-to-be-hot-but-kinda-bland new intern have nothin' on you!

- Tony Stark, Iron Man Most geniuses are, in some way, either dumbed down for the general unwashed mass audience or made fun of for their amusement (see: above), but one of the things I adored about the Iron Man movie is how undiluted Tony is. And that he's obviously channeling his considerable energies into it as relaxation but also in a way that makes it look as if he truly needs it, to stop himself from being bored, yes, and because it's just the way his mind works.

- Ian Malcolm, Jurassic Park series When Michael Crichton's The Lost World revealed Ian to be alive in the book verse, I did a happy dance (and, let's face it, the book owns the crappy movie in every way, though Jeff Goldblum is pure, golden awesome!) Snarky, confident but most of all charming and funny, you just don't get much sexier geniuses in anything. Ever. (It should be noted that, by consensus of myself and the two other people I know who filled this meme out, [livejournal.com profile] lastwordslinger and [livejournal.com profile] musetrax, he must be the best genius ever!)

- Sikozu Shanu, Farscape Completely socially inept but also totally confident to an almost obnoxious degree (which is what most fans only saw), Sikozu's brashness and her self-confidence are made bearable and even charming for me by her naivete and that certain indefinable something she had that made her actually, well, come to like and trust John. In her own way. Plus, she bangs Scorpius and how cool is that?!

- Toshiko Sato, Torchwood Ah, Tosh! What an injustice the show did you by never truly knowing what to do with you! And yet, still, you were engaging in your insecurities and unabashed brilliance. Tosh's segment of Fragments is the most affecting, in my opinion, and displays exactly why she should have been used more in the series!

Snagged from [livejournal.com profile] moetushie:

• Post ten of any pictures currently on your hard drive that you think are self-expressive.
• NO CAPTIONS!!! It must be like we're speaking with images and we have to interpret your visual language just like we have to interpret your words.
• They must ALREADY be on your hard drive - no googling or flickr! They have to have been saved to your folders sometime in the past. They must be something you've saved there because it resonated with you for some reason.
• You do NOT have to answer any questions about any of your pictures if you don't want to. You can make them as mysterious as you like. Or you can explain them away as much as you like.

Be very afraid? Well, I dunno about that, but semi-not work safe! )

Peace, Ghani
