We try every year between Thanksgiving and Christmas to watch the EE like one big ol' miniseries, complete with my sister putting up with my inner Tolkien traditionalist haranguing some of the changes, hehe (hey, it's a tradition, and I'm not really that bad about it! ;-)) so it was nice to have it sort of finish off what had started as a very stressful day! :-)
