SERIOUSLY! Of course, the first place I naturally go is "what if Cthulhu rose from his watery, sleepy-time place and ravaged the land!?" Is that too much? ;)
Ha! Not at all! What I got last year was that some took it uber-seriously, like frighteningly realistic descriptions of killing the newly undead, and then others just took it way out there and those were by far the most fun! XD
I don't know how this Jeff is going to run it; I know Steve, I read his blog and he ran it last year but he's handing over the reins this year and I'm not sure exactly how it's going to be organized. So many entries seemed to be on LJ but the comm (bliteotw remains kind of untouched, so, we'll see...
I do have questions I can't seem to find answers to... Like where to post my entries? I get that I can post them in my own journal (*so wants to scare the pants off people and make them think I've either lost my mind or Cthulhu is real!*), but where do I post so that it's part of the entire effect of BLITEOTW?
Last year, I posted a link to my journal in the main entry for BLITEOTW on Steve's blog; he kept an update of everything he thought to be "significant" developments, things that kill zombies or distract them cities that have fallen etc. and posted links to those entries. It got way too big way too quickly, which I don't think he was anticipating. Mainly, I got links to other journals from the journals of friends who were doing it and a couple of people seemed to find me on their own. Steve urged everyone to put bliteotw in their interests so people can search by that, whether that works...shrug.
Now, there's a Frapper map (http://myelvesaredifferent.blogspot.com/2008/04/blog-like-its-end-of-world-2008.html), but I really don't see what good that's going to do since it's not links to blogs or anything. The comm bliteotw was created to keep tabs on it on LJ but it feels woefully neglected; maybe on the day though it'll be a source for putting your stuff out there and finding others. That's what I'm hoping for, at least.
So, mainly it'll be up to this Jeff to keep his blog updated and I don't know how he plans to do that as of yet, but that's what you have to keep an eye on: his site. Hopefully, it all works out.
I'll just try to keep track best I can! I'll be scanning the interweb for BLITEOTW, and keep a running commentary as news comes in. I plan on being in a bunker in the hills of West Virginia or maybe Tennessee, so I hope to be able to chronicle the events in detail.
Of course, comments, pings or emails always help. See http://bluemoonrising.com/bliteotw for more info!
Very awesome! I love the new logo, too. For some reason the little zombie girl makes me want to kill more zombies. I have issues with neighborhood kids. Does that makes me a psychopath? Heh.
Pssh, men! Granted, it's your duty to keep track of all the goings on, so a bunker isn't a bad place to be, but me? I've been sharpening the garden tools and waiting...No running away for me this year!

It seems like it did last year, against all odds!
