I think that's about the closest as lightning can hit near our backdoor without actually setting anything on fire! The crack of thunder was loud enough to leave a ringing in my ear for some time afterward! Crazy!

Unfortunately, it also meant that I neither got to work on online write-y stuff or the Emma/Scott thingie I'm trying to write for Porn Battle VIII, phooey! Ah well, we needed the rain and it made for a pleasant afternoon!

I've actually been looking out a window when a bolt of lightning hit our(luckily grounded) porch. It was... terrifying but also kinda completely wicked at the same time! xD

It was scary! We actually saw a news report back when I posted this that a house here in town had gotten hit by lightning! Yikes!

Similar thing happened to me the other day! I was sitting there writing when KAPOW! It wasn't lightning, but it was the loudest, closest thunder I've ever experienced. I shut my computer off and went to look out the window, and it was basically a gray, sideways sheet outside. So yes, I feel that, LOL!

Yes! We were getting this weird rattling against the window so we looked outside and the rain was literally falling almost sideways against it! Holy cow!

We saw on the news that night with the lightning strike that it had actually hit a house here in town, which is terrifying. Though I'm happy we live somewhere that someone else owns now, lol! If we burst into flames, we don't have to pay for the damages! xP
