First off, thank you to all who offered words of comfort and support! I really wanted to answer each of you individually, especially because some of you are going through or have gone through things very similar or just as serious. But at a certain point, it becomes hard for me after the initial release to keep talking about it, so I'm copping out and giving you a general thank you. You know who you guys are and you're awesome! Hugs!
Next off, surprisingly never done this one even though I'm just full to brimming with controversial fandom opinions! Snatched from
writenagel1: Name a fandom, and I'll give you the scoop on at least three of my unpopular opinions related to that fandom.
Peace, Ghani

- Slash is just... no. I know I'm hugely in the minority here, and I'm speaking about authenticity as a fanfic author who wrote intentional camp and supernatural situations but... sodomy was just one of the worst crimes you could commit and, on a ship where everyone knew everyone else's business, impossible to get away with. Check out Melville's Billy Budd for a realistic view of homoeroticism in the Age of Sail--it doesn't end well.
- Archie's lifespan is... appropriate. I used to even feel he overstayed his welcome in the movies a bit, but I think now, in retrospect, he died at just the right moment, when his character couldn't really move forward and it most affected Horatio.
- Dreadnought Foster is not evil! He's just a bit... naughty. I mean, the military couldn't run without guys like him, and he is an awful lot of fun, hehehe... Ahem.
