Sighs, I have very, very mixed feelings about this movie. They made so many changes and not just in the kids' ages, but they seemed to have taken the almost parody-like humor the books have out of the equation entirely. And they hint at whose son he is way too early, according to this trailer! And they have gods who shouldn't be there yet, or at all. But you know what? I'm still gonna go see it, and maybe, because I'm usually good at that kind of thing, I can get over the changes they made. Maybe.

The movie looks plain awesome, so the fan in me is just excited about it. But then, I can appreciate almost any adaptation without being a snarky fan, 'cause they're gonna change some things--that's just the way Hollywood is.

Awesome source material (think Harry Potter meets Greek mythology), awesome cast! And yay for wanting to see it, LOL! I've already had two people who have no idea what it was saying they want to see it--Chris Columbus should pay me for advertisement! xD

Chris Columbus was the whole reason I got interested in the first place; I started reading the books when I saw the first trailer! Which means that this thing is going to be awesome! He just does so well with those kinds of visuals and stories! ♥!
