Mother's Day
May. 11th, 2008 12:20 pmI'd like to wish all those wonderful women on my flist who are mothers a very, very happy Mother's Day! I have the utmost respect, admiration and love for you all! Hugs!
For me, however, this is something of a black day. It's the fourth Mother's Day since my mom passed away in 2004. Anyone who knows me knows how incredibly much I miss her, how e were at the time she passed away, and how shitty her life was towards the end. As a matter of fact, her last Mother's day was one of the crappiest days of her life, for reasons I won't go into. It's painful, and it's irritating to see the happy cheerful promo images for the holiday all over the goddamn place. So yeah, the head space isn't at a good place right now. It happens, especially as the anniversary of her death approaches. I think about her a lot.
