Stuffy stuff
Nov. 10th, 2009 02:09 pmSo, I was in the shower last night when the power went off, yikes! Absolutely no natural light comes into the bathroom, and it's like this weird suddenly sense-deprivation, except that the water keeps running and that becomes confusing after a minute, too. Because no one's really making such a big deal out of Ida (it's already weakened to a tropical depression), I guess it just didn't occur to me that we'd be getting some bad storms in its spin-off. But we sure got one last night and it seems like today is going to be an on and off deal, which is cool with me so long as the power doesn't go out again (it was restored really quickly last night, I just worry about being electrocuted because they tell you not to run water during electrical storms and I do tend to get shocks off of the tap whenever there's a storm coming!)
My sister got me a gift certificate for Amazon for my birthday and the first batch of stuff just arrived today, hooray! I got me the first and second seasons of The IT Crowd as well as Birds of Prey The Complete Series and Brisingr by Christopher Paolini, score! BoP made me laugh because the box says something like, 'Some music differs from music in the aired version.' All the music differs, mate! Even the important stuff, like the theme or the tATu song they used in the last episode! Shakes head, Warner Brothers likes to do that; they removed almost all of the Loreena McKennitt stuff from ROAR, though they were at least not stupid enough to cut it even from the episode where it's central like they did with some of BoP. But I complain when I'm happy, so I should stop! xP
Peace, Ghani
